Up at Continental

2009.11.24
My "high street" is Austin Street, near Continental Avenue. This is the street, unusually busy for 10am on a Tuesday, all dressed up for winter.

These are some of the limited holiday decorations in windows.

Betty's always here.

She's standing like that because it's freakin' cold and she's wearing a nightie.

Um, ok so this is this stores tree.

And it's buddy in the next window.

This used to be a movie theater. Now its a mini box store combo.

Christmas Peeps

You'd think the whole neighborhood was a little gingerbread by these buildings.

But it's not. It's an illusion

Pretty cabbage

Snuggies come in aminal prints

How to really celebrate the holiday.

Shop

This was my destination. Cheeses of the World. They have the best of everything. I picked up some pates for Turkey day. They have an amazing selection of cheese and meats and all those jars have olives in them, fresh cured. They have jams and spreads and crackers and all these wonderful things. It was so hard to get out of there without spending a months worth of grocery money.
