39 Degrees

Today completes my first week (out of three) at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, WIC program. I am enjoying this program, even though I never thought I would enjoy community nutriiton.

I requested to leave rotation early to attend a nutrition lecture at MA General Hospital. The lecture topic was about public policy, and turned out to be a "call for action," rather than an informative presentation. It was ok; glad I went.

5pm. Went with three other interns to the North End. Our mission: cannolies. I'm glad we went to Modern, since I've only been to Mike's. It's hard to say which one is better. After all, a cannoli is a cannoli; yummy by definition.

Tonight we turned on our heat in the apartment. I am scared that our pipes will freeze if we don't turn on the heat soon. Now I am warm warm warm. Getting ready to watch The Namesake with my roommate. Going to be a good movie.

Thankful for a good week. Thankful for a lot of things right now.
